Zones: 4-9. This very alive, growing plant looks like the commercial plastic turf grass. Small, shiny, dark green, downward curving leaves set in congested rosettes. An evergreen perennial from the Falkland Islands, Astro turf loves warm weather but is hardy to Zone 4. Prefers sun to partial shade in well drained soil with some grit, fine gravel or sand mixed in and a slightly alkaline pH.
