We have trained and trimmed this tiny tree as a Mini Street Tree or Shohin mini Bonsai with single trunk and dome top. Height 5 inches. Semi evergreen in mild winter as shown in photo. With the smallest leaves of all Japanese Box Hollies it also blooms with greenish-white flowers in spring then forms yellow berries in fall. Reported to be deer proof. Please note that if planted in the garden it will need occasional trimming to keep at the current height or let grow to a small ball. One of the best miniature hollies. Zones 6-10. |
